This episode's subplot is a parody of The Dick Van Dyke Show episode "Never Bathe On Saturday" in which the character of Laura Petrie gets her toe stuck in the faucet, just like Carly does in this episode. Carly is even shown watching the episode in her bathtub prior to trying the stunt for herself.

Goofs
When Freddy, Spencer, Gibby, Sam and the guide enter the production room for Fat Cakes, they are not wearing hair protection. This would pose significant health hazards during the production of the Fat Cakes, especially since Sam has long hair and gets close enough to the production line. As this took place in 2007, hair nets would definitely have been required.
