Andrew Cassel was cast early as "Bad Guy" (who attacks Jessie in the parking lot) because he and Carrie Baker had worked together previously, and she trusted him for this delicate scene. Ironically, after the initial lead dropped out; Andrew was then cast as Michael - the Angel. This also means his voice is in the first scene in two different roles.
