Exciting portrayal of lesbian cat-fights/romances

Love/hate may never have been better exemplified than in the improvised quartet of cat-fights in Nica Noelle's excellent RIVALS 2. I was both surprised and enthralled at the sustained intensity of the eight actresses involved, and this XXX porn opus could well find an afterlife being shown to acting classes, though such broadminded-ness (no pun intended I assure you) is unlikely to ever occur.

Early on watching the video I recalled a funny incident I witnessed back when I was attending Broadway plays regularly (in the '80s). I saw A COUPLA WHITE CHICKS SITTING AROUND TALKING at a theater in the Village with an unusual cast: Anne Archer (in her NYC stage debut) and Susan Tyrrell. It was their final night (the play kept switching its cast like clockwork) and near the end of the performance they started to bat each other around in what looked like for real -particularly Susan. I never forgot it -so convincing were the performances and felt certain that they were truly mad at each other over something and taking it out on stage for all to see (and in character).

This is not the case here, but it almost plays that way, so deep are the adult performers into their role-playing. Case in point is opening vignette (each segment is titled Round 1, Round 2, etc. like a boxing match) featuring the huge-busted fake-redhead Mz. Berlin dominating poor assistant Trinity Post. Post is merely trying to fix the diva's hem but apparently not fast enough so all hell breaks loose in the form of verbal and physical abuse and humiliation.

It's very impressive, including the quick segue to XXX lovemaking, and of course eventually Post gets to turn the tables and get her licks in (pun intended this time). Director Noelle, who is classically AC/DC when it comes to the videos she creates, later hired Mz. Berlin for a heterosexual assignment in DON JUAN'S THERAPIST, which I'm looking forward to seeing.

The other three lengthy vignettes are of the same high quality, with Nikita Denise brilliant as she trots out the "you'll never work in this town again" threat as she forces her personal assistant Mina Meow into having rough sex with her: Zoe Britton more than a match for toughie Elexis Monroe in a drag-out cat-fight; and never-lovelier looking Samantha Ryan giving roommate Ariel X an X-rated hard time.

All told the lengthy video was a bracing antidote to the rather bland touchy-feely brand of girl/girl adult videos I've been watching lately and I was unhappy to find out that Noelle's earlier RIVALS precursor is now out of print.
