A wild retro village comedy that relies on immense actor charm to survive a highly repetitive plot

The flick sets up a funny premise following a naive country guy travelling abroad to look for quick cash. Adel Emam carries the whole thing using his iconic frantic energy and brilliant facial expressions, while Noura adds a lovely, warm presence as the loyal wife. The legendary Said Saleh steals every scene he is in with his raw comic timing and hilarious back and forth banter. However, the script gets super repetitive in the second half, falling back on cheap, predictable misunderstandings and forced dramatic twists that run out of steam fast. The pacing drags badly through the middle acts, and the director wraps everything up with a very safe, rushed happy ending.
