The Abominable Snowmen is a lost story that returns as an animated release. It features the second Doctor with his fur coat, he wears it to brave the cold weather of the Himalayas.

The Tardis lands in Tibet. The Doctor is excited to be at the Himalayas, however he also finds some giant footprints as well as a dead body.

When the Doctor arrives at a nearby monastery. He finds himself imprisoned when an explorer called Professor Travers accuses the Doctor of killing his friend.

Meanwhile Jamie and Victoria were left behind in the Tardis by the Doctor. They later go out to explore and also find the giant footprints.

As this was a six part story the pacing in the first episode was a tad slow. Too much time is spent on setting the scene.

Being an animated reconstruction. The production team can at least elevate the story with the snowy Himalayan vistas.

The original lost story was filmed in Wales and did not look as expansive.
