The film was shot in reverse as the crew didn't want to break the continuity of Ranbir Kapoor's hairstyle. So the climax with long hair was shot first.

At around 35 minutes mark when Jordan and mandy are playing a game together at heer's house, the monitor shows a single player version of a racing game whereas it should've been multiplayer game.

The CBFC (Indian Censor Board) required the filmmakers to mute several English and Hindi expletives-specifically words like "sex," "bastard," and a Hindi profanity-throughout the film's audio if they wanted the U/A (PG-12) certificate. Otherwise, it would have received an "A" (adults only) rating. In one of the film's key songs, "Sadda Haq," a crowd scene shot at Dharamsala included people holding "Free Tibet" banners and Tibetan flags. The CBFC demanded these visuals be either deleted or blurred to avoid political controversy with China. The filmmakers ultimately chose to blur the banner to obtain U/A certification. This decision led to protests by Tibetan supporters and activists, calling it a suppression of free speech .
