Terrible story, terrible acting. I understand that families have their disagreements but I am tired of the constant shouting in UK Caribbean films depicting shouting and fake, inconsistent Jamaican accents.

I'm British Jamaican, I cannot relate to all the arguing and shouting constantly. Yes, the mother was desperate for a divine fix to her son's issues but the mother character simply felt haphazard and plied with all the stereotypes that may have been more relevant in the 70s and 80s? Shouting, angry whispering, no accountability, no self reflection, simply a 2D character and a story that perhaps should have fit into a feature in order to give the characters more favour.
