Historic San Francisco nightclub The EndUp, where Michael "Mouse" Tolliver enters the Mr. EndUp contest, was actually portrayed by the nearby Firehouse 7 nightclub on 16th St. Firehouse 7 became the Kilowatt Bar just seven months after this episode first aired. Both clubs are still open as of mid-2021, with Kilowatt having passed a quarter century in business, and The EndUp nearing 50 years since its doors first opened.

Goofs
As hard as they tried to make the exterior shots look like 1976, there were shots of cars that did not exist then. For example, when Michael and his parents are walking around the city they pass by a parked 1985 Toyota Celica GT.
