As with other Tacoma-based films by Bryan Johnson--this one hits all the marks. Great shots of the city--humor on the Seattle-Tacoma dynamic and a cast that always seems to come through regardless of their unusual roles. 

Much like other Johnson films, ("South 5" is a must-see), "U-253" is perfect for anyone that has lived in Tacoma, WA in the last 10+ years. 

Especially enjoyable in this film are the scenes that take place in the mayor's home. Mitch Robinson, in a small, but vital speaking role as the mayor, helps to move the plot forward and seems to relish every line delivered.
