The film was announced by Imagenation Abu Dhabi on 14 May 2010 in Cannes Film Festival as the company's first Emirati film production.
Tickets to the film's premiere, as well as a second screening at Abu Dhabi Film Festival (2011), were sold out about 17 days earlier.
Competing with Hollywood blockbusters, the film in its first week was 2nd in UAE's top 5 movies, according to Dubai One TV.
The film in its first weekend made it to the top 5 lists in two of the most known and busiest theaters in UAE, being #2 in Reel Cinemas, and #4 in VOX Cinemas.
