- Celestine Roaa: [approaching the Counter-Sentinel Unit members, who have decided to travel incognito in order to speak with the Mare chieftain; Celestine's opening lines] So you creatures are humans?
- Zephie: Yes, that's right. We escaped here from the civil war. We are... war refugees. We're low on food and water. On the way here, we were caught in the seedfall and now find ourselves in - ah...!
- [That last part was because Celestine saw Argo halfway through Zephie's explanation and approached him, pushing Zephie out of the way]
- Celestine Roaa: [Beat., then squeeks in elation, waving her arms] Oooooh! You're so cute! You're exactly my type!
- Argo Kindu: [caught off-guard] Wha-What are you talking about?
- Celestine Roaa: I've totally fallen for your rippling muscles, among other things!
- Juto: [to Celestine, who has fallen in love with Argo] No way... You've fallen for *Argo?*
- Argo Kindu: [still caught off-guard] Uh...
- Crocell Reeden: [to Argo] She looks normal enough, but there must be something wrong with her eyes...

- Crocell Reeden: [seeing the Werewolves] You know, no one's ever glad to see us.

- Celestine Roaa: [after Crocell tells her that Argo is over 60 years old; laughs] So the geezer's name is Argo! Come on, marry me!
- Crocell Reeden: [surprised - like, *really* surprised] *Wha - ?*
- Argo Kindu: P-Please, stop calling me a geezer. Besides, your proposal was rather abrupt. I have no intention of taking a wife just yet.

- [Highwind Island - Zephie has been paralyzed from a Sentinel's poisonous attack. Juto is staying with her while Rue heads to Highwind Village to get Celestine and the others to cure her]
- Juto: [narrative] As I watched Rue grow smaller in the distance... *Anger* towards Zephie boiled up inside me for some reason.
- Southern Forces Soldier: [after Juto punches Count Alex in the face] Lord Alex! Are you all right?
- Juto: [to Alex; angry] As if I'd ask for help for *you,* you bastard!
- Southern Forces Soldier: Such insolence!
- Southern Forces Soldier: [follows his colleague's lead by pointing their spears at Juto] How *dare* you raise a hand to Lord Alex! Do you want to *die?*
- Zephie: [stepping in] Stop this! This man is a civilian!
- Alex: [getting up] Oh? I take it your friend is an islander?
- Zephie: Yes. And he watched as his home was lost in the battle today. That's why...
- Juto: [interrupts] Enough! You're... You're all the same! Every one of you - GAH!
- [Juto falls over; while Argo, who was behind him, puts his fist down]
- Juto: [to Argo, who'd knocked him out earlier] I guess I should thank you for helping me take such a nice nap.
