To me, Orada (2019) portrays a family that lacks empathy. Deep down, each of them believes they are good people, they think they love their family and make the necessary sacrifices for one another. But because they never truly listen to each other, they fail to understand each other's expectations, pain, and emotional needs. You cannot truly love someone without first trying to understand them. The film beautifully shows how a lack of communication slowly pushes people apart.

What makes the movie powerful is that it doesn't present anyone as completely guilty. From their own perspective, every character is right in some way. Maybe their only flaw is not knowing how to love, or knowing it but being unable to express it. After all, how can someone show a kind of love they were never taught?
