This movie is based on the true story of respite sanctuaries in remote mountain chapels, where miraculous images were believed to revive the (stillborn) infant in order to allow baptism and a Christian burial.
Laura Samani was inspired by the oil painting of 'The Bad Mothers' by Giovanni Segantini while making this movie.
Although the road trip only lasts 4 days, the movie contains both summer and winter scenes, this is explained by the corona pandemic lockdown, filming started in January 2020 and then was interrupted for 8 months due to the corona lockdown and filming resumed again in wintertime and finished on Valentine's Day February 14nd 2021.
