Killer BBQ opens with a surprisingly strong idea. The Vietnam backstory adds a unique angle, and the dusty small-town setting works well. But the plot quickly stretches credibility - too many disappearances in a town this small go unnoticed, and the script never sells it.

The pacing is uneven with awkward editing and transitions. Characters are passable but not memorable. The cinematography is the roughest part: the movie is often too dark, and the red-washed finale makes it hard to see what's going on. Effects don't help - the blood looks like ketchup and the meat shots clearly come from animals, not props.

The soundtrack, oddly enough, hits harder than expected. Not "good," but definitely energetic. Originality lands in the middle - the Vietnam element is interesting, but the cannibal-town plot has been done many times before.

An OK watch but ultimately forgettable.
