The music video for Burger Man-a track from the Recycler album-is particularly interesting. It shows an attempt to transition away from the '80s synth-pop era back toward the band's blues-rock roots, while blending in the emerging 1990s, grunge-adjacent melancholy and style. At the same time, it pays homage to 1950s creature-feature horror films like Creature from the Black Lagoon and 1960s space-age sci-fi such as Star Trek. Interestingly, the creature in the video most closely resembles DC Comics' early-1970s character Swamp Thing.

The music video also brings back much of ZZ Top's classic iconography. Notably, the trio of sexy, empowered women is reimagined as extraterrestrial characters-again, a nod to '50s and '60s sci-fi. Another trademark of the Recycler era is present as well: the band members wear long jackets and tall, rock-blues-style hats.
