The 47th Annual Golden Globe Awards 1990

The only shared credit of actors Sam Elliott, who co-hosted the event, and Martin Landau, who was a presenter that evening, the two actors having previously been regulars on the original version of the espionage TV series Mission: Impossible (1966) but at different times of the show's run. Also there that evening were two notable guest stars from the suspenseful show, Joan Collins who also presented, and Dean Stockwell who won the award for supporting male television performance for his role on Quantum Leap (1989). Another winner that night was the year's best motion picture dramatic actor, for the film Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Tom Cruise who would go on to headline the reboot movie saga of the series that finally took the franchise to the big screen.
