The Von is a pretty unique comedy short. I don't recall ever watching anything quite like it. What makes it stand out is a combination of several factors.

First, it incorporates many elements from comic books-a style that I really appreciate. Second, it feels remarkably period-accurate. The story takes place in the 1980s and is partly narrated from a point decades later, which works well and helps capture the atmosphere of the era.

Third, the story is genuinely hilarious and features several unexpected twists. I particularly enjoyed the way The Von reacts to the surprising challenges those twists bring about. His responses are often just as entertaining as the situations themselves.

I would happily watch another installment based on this short anytime.
