One day, Pil-je appears on 1st Street with a mission for redevelopment. Orders from his boss force him to make a home in the almost run-down sector and convince the remaining residents to give up their land. Local Myung-ran leads a hard life caring after her ill father, but dreams of becoming a boxing champion. Her encounter with Pil-je leads her to think that things canÂ’t get any worse. Meanwhile, the kids living on 1st Street donÂ’t think Pil-je is a villain, but a superman who makes things better for the town. Pil-je gradually becomes attached to the residents, and must decide whether heÂ’ll follow through with his orders or help the denizens defend their property.
