Robin, Chrissy, Jo and Larry discuss where to go on holiday, with Chrissy ultimately steering the decision towards Torremolinos. Robin, meanwhile, is more concerned with the fact that he's practically luminous and in no state to face the Spanish sun. Over at the Ropers', George is short of money and spots an opportunity, selling Larry a tanning lamp... who promptly attempts to offload it onto Robin.

I really enjoyed this one, it's very funny from start to finish. Part of me wishes we'd actually seen the flatmates abroad, but realistically the budget would never have stretched that far. The build-up, however, is more than enough, and in some ways the anticipation is funnier than the holiday itself might have been.

Richard O'Sullivan is on fine form here, giving a wonderfully physical performance, and that dance sequence is a definite highlight. He has a knack for playing Robin's vanity without making him entirely unbearable.

Brian Murphy's impressions are excellent in this episode, and it's a reminder that he was a far more versatile performer than he's often given credit for. I loved Mildred's line, "You come in, I go out, we're like that little old couple on the clock," which sums up their marriage perfectly.

There's no mistaking how smart Sally Thomsett and Paul Wilcox are here either.

Another strong entry in a series that still feels remarkably fresh.

Mildred spots Robin's tan and accuses him of stealing from her but he explains what happened and she gets George to swear on the bible that he was not involved. Actually he swears on a cookery book, hoping Mildred will not notice.
