I don't want to give too much of the story away--it would ruin the surprise. Suffice to say it's about a reporter who is being pushed to interview a grieving mother--and he's very nervous about intruding on her. But, his supervisor is brash and cold and sees it all as a game--and coaches him on how to pretend to be sincere in order to get the best story. What happens next, you'll just need to see for yourself.

"A Fitting Tribute" is the third film of Daniel Cormack's that I have seen and I must say that each time I am very, very impressed. For a young filmmaker, his short films are incredibly professional and are at a level well beyond the typical film novice. In fact, novice is not a word I'd use in regard to his work--it is very polished, professional and insightful. And, most importantly, the films are about people--with excellent acting and complex little stories. I'd strongly recommend you see any of his films. I can't wait to see what he does next!
