Revealed on the commentary track of the Pilot (on the 2002 DVD release of "P.I.S. - Politiets indsatsstyrke"): - The Pilot was produced in October 1998.
Initially rejected by Denmarks public service TV station Danmarks Radio (they simply didn't get it was a mockumentary, spoofing "Cops", and believed there were already plenty of shows featuring cops).
