LightSong Films was in the market for a screenplay that could be shot cheaply. They had plenty of filmmaking equipment and decided to find a script they could shoot "in their backyard" - or in their case, someone else's backyard. They placed an ad on Craig's List LA that specified they were looking for a character-driven screenplay with a limited number of locations and characters; and also specified that it must have leading roles for a petite red-head (Kiersten Morgan) and a raven haired actress (Elyse Ashton). Mike Hemmingson was the first to answer the ad and did so within minutes of it going online. Starfelt read the script that night and fell in love. Mays took a while longer to get to it, but knew immediately that he wanted it to be his next project.
