There are two DVDs that I bought from Animation Block Party and I am not sure if this is the first or second one listed because the titles are combined in this listed. Despite the inconsistency on this site, I do believe that both DVDs are of the highest quality of animation that you can find. I particularly enjoy the second of Animation Block Party's Mix Tape DVDs because it has a funnier route. The first Mix Tape is more serious with some classic animations from the 70's and 80's but the second one is all kinds of fun. Starting with the weirdness of a movie called Alien and moving into the Backbrace, Loony Bin and Boobotz, all these films cracked me up and made me want more. The second DVD did not disappoint as it continued, with an amazing film from Ben Meinhardt called Binge and Purge. The Extras in the Animation Block Party's second DVD release are mixed. The festival intros are fun to watch, as is an interview with the makers of the Backbrace. Tug of War and Piece also has a good extra bit from the director that film and the people he worked with to make it. Overall, I would give the first DVD release at 6.5 of 10 and the second DVD release a 9 of 10. I am looking forward to their third DVD.
