Writer-director David Stanley invokes Jungian theory in his BTS discussion of "Duality", one of his many one-word title videos with pretensions of intellectuality never realized. He's either one of those illiterate XXX writers or just not interested in the finished product, as early on an irrelevant intertitle reads: "One hour and fourty-five minutes later...", a pretty dumb misspelling.

Later he has the star deliver to his wife a pedantic definition of the term "doppelganger", about as crude an injection of exposition dialog in a movie that I've seen in ages. Yes, Stanley is convinced he's a brilliant auteur even when grinding out hack porn like this baby.

Kirsten Price affects an annoying childish dialog delivery for much of the show, attempting to coax her stolid husband Chris Cannon that they should try some role-playing for sexual variety. By that she means doing things like her dressing up in a schoolgirl outfit right out of Chatsworth Central porn costuming, but that turns him off. 

When Cannon complains to co-worker Evan Stone (giving an even worse, arch and phony performance than usual) about his sexual issues at home, Stone gives him bad advice and a phone number: to visit a "New Age" (Stanley's favorite thing) massage parlor & performance venue downtown that employs hookers.

Eventually Chris decides to visit the joint, where a newly hired redhead gives him a hand-job. Only the dumbest of viewers will fail to recognize (though her face isn't shown, a telltale sign) it's wifey Kirsten wearing a crummy red wig.

So the wig makes our Wicked contract star a doppelganger, and the Duality of Stanley's title boils down to her combining Madonna & Whore aspects into a single package. That spells a happy ending for the couple and a "positive" ending per David.

This drek is photographed in extreme soft focus by Francois Clousot, which has become the house style for much of Wicked Pictures' output over the years. Plenty of extraneous sex, the real reason Stanley's work passes muster with the Wicked brass (and before that the Vivid brass in his earlier career) is included, notably a porn scene Chris watches on TV starring busty blonde Brooke Haven, a lesbian stage show pairing red-wigged Kirsten with pre-boob-job Jenna Presley, Lacie Heart briefly humping Stone in his office, and especially Kelly Kline as the massage parlor's lead hooker. Tony Tedeschi in the waning years of his career is the porn actor opposite Brooke on TV while an unknown cat named Ross Sevrance gets serviced by Kelly. Many porn actors have thousands of credits each to their name, but Ross has only a handful (pun intended of course).

Part of Stanley's strategy is to belittle his calling with unsubtle clues. In this case, the sets are almost as crummy as back in his no-budget Vivid days even though Wicked was pretty free-spending when this was shot, and the clothing for both Chris and Evan is particularly Salvation Army rejects level to mock their wage slave, 9 to 5 roles (as opposed to the lavish Jet Setter lifestyle pornographers aspire to).
