Pee-wee Herman
- Miss Yvonne: Hi, Pee-wee. I just called to say that I won't be able to come today because of the rain.
- Pee-wee: Well, I'll just take a rain check.
- Chairry: I wonder how long it will rain.
- Conky: According to my calculations, it's going to rain. All day.
- Globey: Gee, all day.
- Chairry: Boy, I guess the whole day is ruined.
- Globey: Why do you say that, Chairry?
- Chairry: Well, for one thing, Pee-wee's going to be sitting on me all day.
- Pee-wee: No way! Rainy days are special days. There's a lot of really fun stuff we can do while it's raining.
- [the rain sends Pterri flying into the Playhouse and hiding under Pee-wee's bed]
- Pee-wee: Pterri?
- [Pterri is heard whimpering under the bed]
- Pee-wee: What's the matter, Pterri?
- Pterri: [timidly peeking out] I'm scared, Pee-wee!
- [ducks back under]
- Pee-wee: Don't be scared of the rain, Pterri. Come on out.
- Pterri: [peeking out] No!
- Pee-wee: Come on, Pterri.
- Pterri: [again peeking out] N-N-No!
- Pee-wee: [reaching under bed to pull Pterri] Pterri, come on. Come on.
- [pulls Pterri out]
- Pee-wee: Come on.
- [he cuddles Pterri in his arms]
- Pee-wee: See, Pterri, there's nothing to be afraid of.
- [there is a flash of lightning and a crash of thunder outside that causes Pterri to scream in fright; Pee-wee shushes him as he falls asleep in Pee-wee's arms, and Pee-wee gently puts the pterodactyl in his nest]
- [the storm causes the power in the playhouse to go out, so Pee-wee gets a flashlight, which he holds up to his face]
- Pee-wee: It's time... for ghost stories.
- [laughs evilly]
- Pee-wee: Once upon a time, on a dark and rainy night, just like this, a scary ghost went "clomp, clomp, clomp". Clomp, clomp, clomp. The campers could hear its every move. Clomp, clomp, clomp! It was getting closer. Clomp, clomp, clomp.
- [suddenly, Pee-wee hears the sound of something going "clomp, clomp, clomp" outside the Playhouse; it opens the door, which creaks as it opens, and enters, still clomping, before turning on the light, which causes Pee-wee to let out a startled yell; but it's actually Reba the Mail Lady]
- Pee-wee: Reba, I thought you were a ghost.
- Reba: Not even a ghost would come out on a day like this, only a mail lady.
- Housewife: Hello?
- Pee-wee: Hello. Is your refrigerator running?
- Housewife: I had just about enough of this. My husband is a police officer.
- [calls offscreen]
- Housewife: Darryl?
- Policeman: Yes, dear?
- [the housewife gives the phone to her husband, the police officer, who addresses Pee-wee]
- Policeman: What your name, kid?
- Pee-wee: Pee-wee Herman.
- Policeman: Well, you listen to me, Pee-wee Herman: making prank phone calls is against the law! If I wasn't such a nice guy, I'd take you downtown and throw you into JAIL! You'd have a criminal record for the rest of your life. Would you like that?
- Pee-wee: Uh, no, sir, I mean, no, officer.
- Policeman: Yeah. All right, I'll let you go this time. But next time, you're going to JAIL!
- Pee-wee: There won't be a next time. I've learned my lesson, honest.
- [Randy laughs hysterically]
- Pee-wee: Randy? Randy?
