After a botched fling with Carra Gamarra, Louis Thomas heads off to LA with his family -- and New Jersey mobster Joey Gamarra hot on his trail. Louis and his brother, Alex, get jobs at Zavatti restaurant, and the brothers instantly fall for the owner's daughter, Andrea. Andrea, meanwhile, has a very public breakup with her boyfriend, George.

George goes out of his way to create an uncomfortable work environment for Louis and Alex. The brothers each try to court Andrea, and George makes an attempt to win her back. Meanwhile, Larry, the brothers' uncle, is kidnapped by Gamarra's cronies.

When it becomes known that Alex intends to attend a wine tasting, George locks him in Zavatti's -- and mistakenly seals Andrea inside as well. Meanwhile, Peter tries to make amends with his estranged wife, Rita Thomas; and Gamarra's thugs head off to LA to find Louis.

After Rita is assaulted in a home invasion, she and her sons move in with Peter. George's attempt to frame Alex for theft blows up in his face. Louis steals Alex's dinner date with Andrea. Blind piano player Daniel catches head chef Christoph cheating on his wife with server Penelope.

Andrea yearns to be with Alex, and becomes jealous when he starts dating Jessica. Meanwhile, George and Suzy get arrested for public lewdness; Peter tries to win back Rita's heart; and Christoph sees red when he catches his wife talking to Daniel.
