The Arkhamada Book of Spells is an homage to H.P. Lovecraft's fictional grimoire the Necronomicon. The word "Arkham," embedded in the spell book's name, is a word associated with Lovecraft, being the name of the fictional Massachussetts town where many of his tales of terror are set.

Goofs
Gwen's research into the Five Charms of Bazell tells her they grant the wearer the power of luck, fire, levitation and reincarnation. That's four. Nothing is said about what the fifth charm does (which later proves to be animation). Neither Gwen, Ben or Max wonder about it.
