When I first watched this movie I didn't know what to think until I watched the special features (which are fun and hilarious) and found out the director was only 18 years old when he made it and its budget was only a few hundred dollars.

The Look: The look of the film was awesome. I loved the dark and gloomy feel of it all. The cinematography is really pleasing to look at. "A Dark Place" definitely has the best look out of all the low budget zombie films I have seen.

The Acting: The acting wasn't all that convincing. I wouldn't call it horrible, but it definitely is nothing to admire. One thing that bothered me was the actors were all young. I didn't see anyone in that movie that would pass for over 25 years old.

The Story: The story is very simple. A couple of guys move into a house and zombies live in the woods behind it. A friend goes missing and another goes to find him. If I was rating this movie strictly on the story I would give it a 5 out of 10.

The Action: The action was the coolest thing about this movie. It was totally awesome! Tons of blood, tons of sweet zombie killing. I give the Action Scenes a 10 out of 10.

Overall I give this zombie short film a 7 out of 10.
