The Optimist is on his bike with a large peak cap where he meets a pretty blond and later a dark haired beauty as he sells ice cream in Marina del Rey.

Only selling ice creams is not easy with so many distractions on the beach. He gets involved in flying kites, later being on the surf. Although the Optimist is not a natural surfer but he wants to impress the dark haired girl.

Not impressed is the Rival (Richard Booker) who gets insanely jealous when the girl kisses the Optimist.

It all leads to a gruelling deal, which goes all over Hollywood. There is even a break as both need to wait at the traffic lights to cross Sunset Boulevard.

The girl finds that the seconds might be worth spending more time with.

Good use of the Los Angeles location but that duel went on for too long.

After meeting a beautiful Girl (Jadie Rivas) in Marina del Ray, the Optimist finds himself in competition with a Rival (Richard Booker) for her affections. First in kite flying, then surfing and eventually in a sword fight, which starts on Santa Monica beach and takes them on a Hollywood duel, through a car wash, across Sunset Blvd, on the steps of Hollywood High School, outside Paramount Studios gate, and hanging off the Hollywood sign. Exhausted, both duellists collapse on the beach and watch the Girl walk away hand in hand with the Seconds.
