Originally titled Ako Raw Ay Huk, the producer was forced to change the title after the censor board refused to issue permit for its release with the title. The Huks was formed in March 1942 by peasant leaders in Central Luzon, with the help of the Communist and Socialist parties of the Philippines to fight the Imperial Japanese occupation. But after the World War II, the group was considered by the government as communist rebels.
