Lost Worlds, Vanished Lives is utterly delightful - Attenborough at his charming, wise self, as always. I have a soft spot for the delightfully clunky 1980s computer graphics and scanning tech; they give the dinosaur reconstructions a sort of endearing, slightly wobbly charm. And then there's that throwaway line where he mentions scientists still didn't know what wiped out the dinosaurs - watching that now, knowing the meteor impact theory was still fresh off the press and the Chicxulub crater hadn't even been spotted, makes it feel like peeking over the shoulder of history itself. Beautifully made, endlessly fascinating, and full of that warm, nerdy joy that only Attenborough can deliver.
