Artie (in disguise) mentions a game called "Drop The Handkerchief" which was interrupted after the incident with the thimble (and never gotten around to) is a variation on the children's game "Duck, Duck, Goose" in which the chaser is designated by dropping a cloth or rag behind one of the players as they stand in a circle.

Goofs
(at around 9 mins) After running out of town, as Dr. Raker reaches the edge of a ravine, there is a shot from below (essentially from down in the ravine) just before he falls into the river - in the shot, a jet can be seen in blue sky upper right above Dr. Raker.
