    • Trivia
When the show ran short because the Mystery Guest's identity was immediately guessed, the panel began to chit-chat to fill time. John Daly was asked about his dog. It turned out that Daly's Scottish terrier, Bonnie, was in labor at the Dalys' home in Rye, New York during the previous week's telecast. Daly went into great detail with the story: that he had arrived home from the live telecast at 12:30 AM, that Bonnie the Scottie had whelped four puppies through the early morning hours, that the Dalys' chaise longue was ruined and that he and his wife had assisted in the births ''with no professional help.'' This slice-of-life long answer was a rare glimpse into the private life of the very proper and buttoned-down John Daly.
