Jim Bob Walton's friend Tinker was played by Tony Moran, whose more famous younger sister Erin Moran (1960-2017) also appeared in an earlier episode of The Waltons. She also played in her most prominent role as Joanie Cunningham, younger pre-teen sister of teen-ager Richie Cunningham (played by star Ron Howard - former child actor, then later prominent film adult actor, director / producer) on the 1960s nostalgia revival sit com "Happy Days"

Goofs
When John comes to talk to Jim-Bob, you can see Elizabeth's ant farm and an empty mason jar on the ground. The camera cuts away, and later shows a wide shot. The ant farm is still on the ground but the mason jar has disappeared.
