The characters refer to Arcadia as a mysterious, place linked to Evergreen. In The X-Files episode 'Arcadia', agents Mulder and Scully are undercover in a controlled utopic community much like Evergreen. Coincidentally, Mark Snow who composed and performed all The X-Files music also composed the music for this iteration of The Twilight Zone.
