      When Ace and Nolan are shooting craps, they are doing so on a pile carpet, which, of course, means the dice can never truly never rest as even as they would on a smooth surface. This is particularly surprising for Mr. Nolan, a gangster, a mobster, and undoubtedly a professional gambler, who would undoubtedly know this and therefore NEVER roll craps on anything but a smooth surface.
