This is the first episode of the series to feature an alternate reality.

Goofs
In this episode the alternate reality Sam addresses Jack as Sir at least twice in spite of the fact that she is not a member of the military AND she and Jack are engaged. If not required by military protocol why would Sam address her fiance as Sir? Unless customs are very different in the alternate reality this seems likely to be an oversight when making this episode.

Civilian DOD employees would still call a General Sir and would maintain professional bearing regardless of personal relationship in the company of others.
