When Hulu began airing the complete Seinfeld series in July of 2015, this episode was aired with John Randolph playing Frank Costanza.
When this episode originally aired, John Randolph played Frank Costanza. In 1995, the scenes with Randolph were deleted and replaced with Jerry Stiller as Frank for syndication reruns. Both versions are included in the 4th season DVD set, but the original is still shown on the satellite channel "Star World" throughout Asia and also in South America. The Jerry Stiller version appears on Netflix.

The production code for this episode (The Handicap Spot) is 420, and the production code for The Junior Mint (1993) is 421, even though The Handicap Spot aired two weeks after The Junior Mint. Because of this, in The Handicap Spot, Jerry mentions to George that he's thinking of getting a yo-yo but is actually seen playing with it two episodes earlier while in the hospital room (in The Junior Mint).
