Strike Up the Band or Else

Though a well-known NYC opera supporter and afficionado, growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, young Leonard Rosenberg (Tony Randall) was exposed to plenty of both country music and square dances. This helped Randall in the scene at Billy Joe's hoedown; he needed no extra direction from Jay Sandrich, as Felix barks out the calls in the square dance scene.

The CBS/Paramount DVD version of "Strike Up the Band or Else" omits all instances of cast members singing "Cocktails For Two" (including Pernell Roberts' rendition in the episode's tag), due to copyright restrictions.
