When Stanley asks the Lexx to count the planets in Earth's solar system, he concludes "eight... maybe nine." As of the airing of this episode (in 2001), Pluto was still considered a planet. It was always considered the odd object out, and its planetary status was questioned when it was found to be much smaller than expected. These doubts increased following the discovery of additional objects in the Kuiper belt starting in the 1990s, and particularly the more massive scattered disk object Eris in 2005. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) formally redefined the term planet to exclude dwarf planets such as Pluto. Given Stanley had the Lexx blow up Pluto five years prior, he succeeded in returning the solar system to eight planets five years before the real-life IAU.

Goofs
790 appears with Kai and Xev in a Wasp within Earth's atmosphere. After Xev jumps out of the damaged Wasp, Kai and 790 are seen crashing into Earth. In the next scene, with no possible way to get there, 790 appears with Stanley in the Lexx.
