    Storyline

    Did you know

    • Trivia
This episode has the first reference to The Diogenes Club. Dr Watson asks Holmes what the qualifications for membership of the club are. Holmes replies that they are "shyness and misanthropy."
    • Goofs
In a non-canonical scene added at the end, Mycroft Holmes refers to a derringer (a single-shot pocket pistol) as a "revolver."

However, closer examination shows the pistol has is a multiple barrels, likely four. It is a "pepper-box" pistol which allows multiple shots by typically manually rotating the barrel assembly to bring each barrel in line with the hammer, similar to the rotation of a revolver's cylinder. So referring to it as a revolver may not be 100% accurate in firearms terminology, but not completely incorrect either.
