The "crime they didn't commit" which led to The A-Team being fugitives from military justice was robbery of ten million piasters, the equivalent of one million dollars, from the Bank of Hanoi.

Goofs
The decorations of the officers involved in the court martial are incorrect in several respects. First, the prosecuting attorney and military judge both have a Silver Star and a Purple Heart. It is incredibly unlikely that one JAG officer, let alone two in one room, would have received these combat awards. Second, Colonel Decker is shown wearing the ribbon for the Air Force Cross; a decoration it is highly unlikely that he would have earned. Finally, the ribbons are not displayed in the correct order.
