Having not been the type to normally comment, I felt compelled to discuss this film. I recently had the chance to see "Sorrows Lost" at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival (actually supporting another friend's film there). Before it were a number of strange amateurish films and projects that looked like they belonged in a filmmakers school contest. What amazed me about this film was how high the professional quality, detail and plot was. The acting was decent for the most part and the visual effects were very professional (applaud to whoever worked on them). What impressed me the most was how complex and inventive the plot were in such a short amount of time. Not only did this film tell a hauntingly beautiful story that stuck in my head for days, but it had quite an interesting development of characters in such a short amount of time. Having dealt with abuse, I truly felt for the main actress the pain she had gone through. I have seen a lot of movies dealing with this topic in a hokey and unbelievable way but this film was authentic. The timing was near perfect and an amazing plot twist at the end. I also contained amazing dialogue, music and cinematography. I have not seen a short film this professional in years. I give props to the filmmakers for their work. I am certain we'll see more of it soon and am anxious to see what they come up with next.
