The original script was written in 2002 immediately after the Patriots surprise Super Bowl win. The ending was simply Eddie picking up the phone to call Jennifer and Jennifer's voice answering, "Good boy, Eddie." But production didn't begin until 2004, so Julia Radochia updated the ending to include the Patriots second win.
