This was a pretty cool concert movie, and just consists of The Cure playing three of their albums in full, apparently all in the one mega-concert? Though it says this was filmed over two nights. So I guess they played all three albums two nights in a row or something. Or, if they played albums #1 and #2 one night, and then the third album on the second night, that's still pretty impressive.

The main thing is that Disintegration is here, and it sounds great live. It's a safe pick for The Cure's best album, but it kind of just is that good. I think the performance here does justice to the album (which I must've heard all the way through dozens of times by this point in my life) while also having some interesting changes that kept me on my toes a little.

The first album they played has a title that might get flagged if I include it in a review, but it's a good album and it sounds good here. Bloodflowers is the third album, and while not as exciting, it still sounded good. It's made me want to check out the studio version at some point, because it was the only album here I wasn't already familiar with. And it kind of scratches the same itch as Disintegration, at least based on the live recording here.

This is a worthwhile watch/listen if you're a fan of The Cure. Robert Smith still sounds exactly like he did in the 80s in this concert film, and the backing band (not sure if anyone on-stage had been a member back then; I've been under the impression The Cure kind of just rotates through non-Smith members pretty regularly) also sound good. This is long, but contains some great music. I largely dug it.
