Wonderful documentary about a very important idea.

A chapter from Debating the Earth, The Next Industrial Revolution. Aptly, covers the same topic. I read this in a resort by a bubbling brook in the beautiful, remote Himalayan Nubra Valley. This is a high altitude paradise for nature, mountain and motorcycle lovers which clears the soul of even the most emotionally drained expatriate workers in the Gulf like me:-) If you don't want to go through the hard labor of reading the chapter, The Atlantic and this documentary have covered the same subject (for more detail: http://plumablogs.org/2015/11/11/the-next-industrial-revolution/). It's very important that we move on from a consumer society to a sustainable society otherwise our planet will cease performing its protecting, nourishing function for us. Simple as that. If we damage it, the results will be just like damaging the hull of a spaceship. Pretty bad.
