The film's $35 budget went mostly to pay the taxi in the last scene; the taxi was $20.
When Bradford pitched the script to his producers, a typo in the "Kidney Vampires" names left the producers to believe they were credited "Kindly Vampires". Plans to develop "Kindly Vampires" sequel where scrapped after the producers actually saw the film.
Many alternate endings were filmed: an ending where Josh wakes up and the whole thing is a dream, an ending where the vampires take his girlfriend, and an ending where Josh himself becomes a vampire were all filmed. Sadly, all of tapes containing these endings caught fire never to be seen again.
