This scenario was sold by Canadian writer Audrey Ford to Julius and Abe Stern as "All Over Twist" as a vehicle for star, Brownie, the Wonder Dog. But prior to production, the title was changed to "Try to Get It." Abe Stern liked the title, "All Over Twist," so much that he assigned it to the Buddy Messinger film, "Bus Boys" just two days prior to that film wrapping. Stern felt that the imaginative title would better sell the Messinger film. As production of "Try to Get It" wrapped, the Stern Brothers then changed Brownie's release title to "Why Dogs Leave Home." Audrey Ford would also sell another scenario and write a script for Baby Peggy called "The Flower Girl" although she was uncredited.
