Bally thought they had the newest hit on their hands with this game and were planning software updates to keep the questions updated. However, this game proved to be Bally's biggest flop ever. Only about 400 units were made and many on those were later converted into Pac-Land machines. Because of this, Professor Pac-Man machines are rare. This does not make them valuable, however, as many collectors still do not want them.
