Watching Opus II made me feel the film was ahead of its time. Its play with the artistic properties of cinema evokes the innovative methods of the 1960s-despite having been made decades earlier. If there's a film you might expect to see playing in an art museum, this would be a strong candidate. The version I watched featured fitting piano music-though I'm not sure if it was the original score or something added later-but it matched the themes and motion of the film perfectly. This is one of the better experimental animated art pieces I've seen.
